Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park
Depart Nairobi at 0700 hrs and proceed to Tsavo West National Park. Explore the Chyulu Hills and the Mzima Springs, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles from an underwater observation chamber. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.
Day 2: Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
Embark on morning game drives before proceeding to Amboseli National Park. Spot wildlife on your way to the campsite where you will have dinner and overnight. Amboseli is the second most popular park in Kenya, boasting a stunning backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Explore Amboseli National Park for a full day. The park is known for its green swamplands, which are created by waters from melted snow that drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the plains. Here, you can observe elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals, warthogs, zebras, and Maasai giraffes.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, head to Lake Nakuru National Park with picnic lunches en route. Enjoy afternoon game drives in this park, which is famous for its numerous bird species. Spend the night at Lake Nakuru camp/lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Drive through the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to reach the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy lunch at a campsite before embarking on an evening game drive. Have dinner and spend the night at a camp/lodge.
Day 6-7: Maasai Mara
Spend two full days exploring the Maasai Mara in search of the big 5. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives and opt for a visit to Maasai villages. Observe over 450 species of animals, including lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, and many antelope species.
Day 8: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy a morning game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. Drive back to Nairobi where the safari ends.
