Tour overview

In Kenya’s Rift Valley Province’s Loitoktok District, Amboseli National Park is situated. At the center of a 3,100 sq. mi. ecosystem that stretches across the Kenya–Tanzania boundary, the park has a surface area of 392 km2. Among other wildlife species, the park is renowned for being the best location in Africa to get up close to free-roaming elephants. The park’s other attractions include chances to interact with Maasai people and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing peak in the world.

When it comes to Amboseli, it consists of expansive skies and far-off landscapes, as well as marshy springs, arid, dusty earth, and numerous animals trampling over it. In the middle of Amboseli Park, two sparkling springs can be located that are supplied by an endless underground water source that has been filtered through miles of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap. However, the climate cycle can swing from aridity to flooding, and Amboseli experienced flooding in the early 1990s as a result of nonstop rain. A few years later, the rains ceased, turning the grassland of the plains into a desert.
