A two-day safari to Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater is an exciting adventure that offers visitors the chance to experience Tanzania’s stunning wildlife and breathtaking scenery.
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. From there, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately 2 hours away. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, and you’ll have a chance to see these majestic creatures up close as well as other animals such as lions, zebras, giraffes, and more.
You’ll have a picnic lunch in the park, and then continue your game drive until the late afternoon. After your safari, you’ll drive to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro Crater, which is about 2 hours away. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest intact volcanic calderas in the world. It’s home to a wide variety of animals, including the “big five” (elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos).
You’ll spend the day exploring the crater, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the early evening.
