7 Days Wander Rush Murchison Falls, Kibale, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Overview
Itinerary for your 7-day adventure:
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide who will transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch en route and arrive in the park in the late afternoon. You can take a leisurely game drive before dinner.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Nile
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the park where you will have the opportunity to spot animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and several species of antelopes. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise on the Nile River to see the Murchison Falls up close.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale National Park. You will arrive in the park in the afternoon and have lunch at your lodge. In the evening, you can take a guided nature walk in the park to see primates such as chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. You will spend the morning in the forest tracking the chimpanzees and observing their behavior. In the afternoon, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp, a wetland area that is home to several bird species and other wildlife.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. You will arrive in the park in the afternoon and have lunch at your lodge. In the evening, you can take a guided nature walk to see some of the forest’s unique wildlife.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing and gorilla trekking. You will spend the morning in the forest tracking one of the gorilla families and observing them in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you can relax at your lodge or take a community walk to learn about the local culture.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi and transfer back to Entebbe for your departure flight.
This itinerary will give you an opportunity to explore some of Uganda’s best national parks and wildlife while also enjoying some leisure time.
